later issue (circa 1834) folio (36.3 x 27 cms.) [2 (additional acquatint title page)], [2 (letterpress title page)], [2 (dedication)]. [6 (preface dated January 1818)], [2 (contents list)] plus 31 aquatinted plates (including the additional engraved title page) all attractively hand-coloured, each plate with an accompanying leaf of explanatory text with the text on the recto and the verso blank, contemporary full rich plum morocco, sides with triple border comprised of a broad and narrow gilt fillets and an inner broad decorative blind roll, spine panelled by broad (2.5 cm.) raised bands which are very richly gilt tooled, two panels direct gilt lettered, inner dentelles decoratively gilt rolled, all edges gilt, very minor (essentially trivial) scattered dusty finger marks in lower corners of text leaves, some very minor scratches and bruises on sides, else a fine fresh copy in a very handsome binding.

Printed at the foot of plates 2-30 is "London Published by Thos. McLean January 1 1818". The frontispiece plate (Plate 1) is signed "Wageman del. et sculp". The plates (some signed "J. H. Clark") are by John Heaviside Clark (c.1771–1836), Scottish aquatint engraver and painter (sometimes known as 'Waterloo Clark').
Some of the plates are on paper watermarked "J. Whatman/ Turkey Mill/ 1834" and some of the text paper is watermarked "[18]29".
