His memoirs are filled with a sparkling cast of characters, with appearances by Cecil Beaton, Stephen Tennant, Michael and Juliet Duff, Grace Vanderbilt, Syrie Maugham, Barbara Hutton, Daisy Fellowes, Noel Coward, Diana Cooper and Paul Bowles. They are the recollections and the reflections of a true Bright Young Thing, and are laced with wit and wickedness.
