8vo. Recently rebound in quarter black morocco, gilt lettering to spine, original cloth bound in at rear; hand-coloured frontispiece designed and cut in wood by Edgard Tijtgat, hand-coloured vignettes throughout by Anne Estelle Rice; fine.

Out of series, one of limited edition of 100 in cartridge paper. This collection of work, dedicated to writers and artists who perished in the Great War, contains poetry by D.H. Lawrence, Walter de la Mare and W.H. Davies and art by Augustus John, Walter Sickert and both Nash brothers, among a number of interesting contributions. It is also notable for the first reference in print to the true identity of the poet 'Edward Eastaway' - Edward Thomas, who had been killed at the Battle of Arras in April 1917.
