Oblong 4to (12.5 x 8ins, 320 x 200mm) publisher’s coloured pictorial cloth in nice, clean condition. 64 coloured plates of breeds of Dogs, 110 of different kinds of Game Animals - birds, deer, rabbits etc and the enimies of the game - stoats, squirrels etc.. 174 coloured plates in all. The subjects in an appropriate scene - fields, mountains, woods etc. - nicely set off within a tinted border on the generous page. I have not had an earlier edition of this book which seems to have been produced into at least the 1930’s, and very often does not include Gibier.
Extensive advertsising, too, for the factory sponsoring the book which made bicycles and arms including sporting shotguns.
