With 13 beautiful chromolithographed plates containing 25 numbered illustrations of Japanese irises. Original laced paper with artistic pasted dried iris leaves on front and back.

Presentation copy of a very rare Japanese nursery catalogue with twenty-five beautifully varieties of Japanese irises in color, attributed to Yokohama Ueki Kabushiki Kaisha.
At least three editions exist of the Iris Kæmpferi, with eighteen, twenty-five and fifty illustrations, all published by the Yokohama Nursery Co., except for our copy, where the original imprint is covered, and replaced by a label of T. Sakata & Co., another Yokohama nursery company.
With presentation on the front cover: "Compliments of T. Sakata & Co.". Very good copy. Binding slightly soiled.
